Grapes: Sauvignon Blanc/Torrontes
ABV: 13%
Style: off-dry
This wine is sourced from high altitude vineyards located in the Valle de Uco in Mendoza. With vineyards at an average altitude of 3.937 feet, this is one of the largest cool climate vineyards in Mendoza which is important as this suits the Sauvignon Blanc grape and helps retain vitality, freshness and acidity whilst the Torrontes in the blend gives the wine the aromatics and fruit driven flavours, but in a subtle understated way.
In this wine you'll find the typical aromatic taste and flavours or the two classic grapes grown in this region. Yellow with greenish hints and a lovely aroma of aromatic green fruits dominate the nose. On the palate we find flavours of gooseberry, green melon, white peach and grapefruit. A crisp and fruit driven wine. The finish is surprisingly long and just about dry/off dry, making it a perfect wine on its own or to partner spicy Asian cuisine. Anyone for chinese tonight?!
